Key Dates

These dates are very important as the Organising Committee needs to know how many students are considering entering so they can plan for the event.

1. As soon as possible
School Science and Technology Fair Coordinators need to distribute information regarding the fair to other science and technology teachers to hand out to interested students. Entries will open in Term 2, 2017.

2. Monday 31st July 2017 – Entries close
School Science and Technology Fair Coordinators must complete the online entry form for all students entering the Science Fair from their school. The teacher’s email address supplied will be used for all correspondence including notification of exhibit numbers and prizewinners so must be an active address. A link to the entry form can be found here (available from mid-Term 2). Please note, this is the final entry date for exhibits, and  no further changes to exhibit details (including new entries or removing entries) are possible after this date. Any withdrawals after this date will not have their entry fee refunded.

3. Friday 18th August 2017
Entry fees must be paid by/for the school by Friday 18th August. The Organising Committee reserves the right to decline entry for exhibiters if entry fees are not paid by the due date.

In the unlikely event that more entries have been received than the venue can cater for, the Organising Committee may contact schools and limit their number of entries. Schools may need to choose which exhibits to send.

4. Saturday 9th September 2017
Judging Day – Judging will take place in the morning and early afternoon. Students must be present at exhibits during the judging process.

Public Viewing: 2pm – 5pm

5. Sunday 10th September 2017
